Seagulls gain their first pre-season win

Weston visited Gloucestershire Northern Senior League side Tetbury Town, last night � Monday 9th July, the Seagulls coming away with a 3-2 victory from Preston Park.
Weston, fielding a mainly young team, went ahead through Francis Rolly on 10 minutes, trialist Roberto Monteiro added to Weston�s score on 38 minutes before Rolly added his second and Weston�s third six minutes before the break. Tetbury�s Phil Hall scored a brace in the second half on 67 and 86 minutes, making the final score 3-2 to Weston.
Seagulls manager Tony Ricketts, summarising the match �We were 3 -0 up at half time but took the foot off the pedal, but overall I was pleased with the showing and it gave the young lads a run out. It also gave me a better idea as to my starting line up against Plymouth Argyle on Wednesday night�.
